951 motor oil leak SAE 30

    947 Carburetor-Equipped Engines
When engine assembly is completed, add 40 mL
(1.35 oz) of motor oil SAE 30 to the counterbalance
shaft gear through the crankcase filler plug

I have have the cyclinders off my motor and was changing the oil in the counter balance area I fliped the motor and replace the oil in the counter balance area it drain out the crank area. I thought that was a sealed compartment? do I have a crack in my case?

If you got the cylinders off its only a little more to split the cases and see if you have a crack or if the crank seals are bad
