when off throttle, steering full lock, the ecu brings the rpm up a little, just enough to make thrust for a little steering. SHO has it (?) . apparently one of those crap chinese craft has it too, but it probably nails the throttle and plants ya into the dock !! lol

good sales pitch, but if you need that kind of assistance, buy a boat

cant confirm the second Q but I dont think it does

reason I`m asking is that i saw the solenoids on the steering bracket and read the manual and saw what it was, when i tried to explain it to my friend, he told me i was full of shit... I guess he was wrong...

On the "01 GPR, the off throttle steering consists of dragging one size 12 foot in the water on the right side to go right, and one on the left side to go left.

And according to my buddy, on his XLT the most effective off throttle breaking system is the edge of the pier.

i thought it was bs too when i saw it in the gpr specs on yamaha's website, so i decided to give it a shot. Basically it does something when you off the throttle and you turn the handlebars to lock. It doesnt do a hell of a lot, but i guess for someone who probably shouldn't be riding that machine anyway, it could make some difference. Once again, just another marketing ploy and more crap to break.
