15 minute RXPX SC remove & Install

Ever since I purchased my RXPX in April 2008 I have been looking at the nightmare of having to pull the supercharger for maintance or impeller change. I have been going over in my mind what I wanted to do for sometime---and that time has arrived. Behind the waterbox is almost eleven inches of space. I installed an exhaust hose that is five inches longer from the exhaust manifold to the waterbox. Now there is more than enough room for a 15 minute supercharger remove and install. I installed the Riva intercooler relocation kit. Note--I DID NOT use the relocation kit mounting bracket for the intercoller. Its a pain to install and another pain to install the rubber straps. However--much to my suprise it is solid as a rock and will not move in any direction. I use the stock waterbox exhaust hose (cut a lot shorter) and ran it under the relocated intercooler and it exhausts out of the stock location. Several pluses from this. !. Saved the money on purchasing a rear exhaust and the ski keeps a stealthy look. 2. I can run the Riva rear air intake. The white plastic adapter on the Riva rear air kit--I enlarged the inner part which fits over the supercharger intake snout so it just pushes on and pulls right off. With all the above is a 15 minute supercharger change with no hassle. Austin (water4fire) was good enough to take pictures (I have no computer skills whatsoever) and will post them on this thread. Thanks Austin.

I ended up doing the same thing, after noticing that benifit from the R&D extender O2 bung. My setup is almost identical to what u describe. I do run a rear air intake, and it works well.

EDIT: Ok you added pictures, That look almost identical to what I did, except that I have my intercooler positioned a little differently, but I even have the same 4" hose from ebay

I was able to remove and reinstall the supercharger in my stock rxp in about 45 mins my first time. It is really easy even when I couldn't find my 1/4 ratchet set and had to use an open ended wrench on the v-band clamp for the J-pipe.

Yes, but on a P-X the New waterbox is so close to the SCer that ist is such a pain to remove. This allows the Box to be out of the way for a extremly easy 10 min SCer removal!
