No gas to be found in Tallahassee....

Finally get the next three days off...and I can't find a drop of gas for my truck, and ski!

What's going to happen to me next weekend? An earthquake? Or a sinkhole under my trailer...?

A rumor got started around noon Friday, that there was going to be a shortage and the prices were going to $5. That started a 'feeding' frenzy...and by 8 pm, every station that I passed was out. The local radio stations were pleading for everyone to get a grip, and that just added to the panic.

There are some stations between my house and the Gulf, and I will head in that direction tomorrow, on the chance that I can get what I need. I calculate that I have enough truck gas to go about half the distance, and make it back on fumes if I don't find any....

Take an empty gas can to your neighbors, one at a time, and ask if they can spare a single gallon.

Enough good neighbors, and you are on your way

I might have some 'good' neighbors, but they are also too cheap to use Premium!

If I wait long enough tonight, I can do the gas can thing...without having to ask!

Better find a car with an old fashion type fuel pump. Anyone with the in tank pump has a screen over it so you cannot get a hose in there anymore.

Great tips, guys...but the bride says that I don't look good in 'stripes'!

Made a few calls (actually, quite a few), and Sam's Club claims that they are still pumping gas. Time to join the 'Club', I guess. With any luck, I will be getting wet by lunch time, tomorrow!
