My turbo tossed me off today

Im running a ball bearing GT28R turbo on my RXP and today i did my first launch out of the hole on a turbo.

Now this turbo spools up REAL fast and i wasnt looking at the boost gauge but i would guess it would been around 15 PSI and i got about 10 meters and the ski took a massive nose dive throwing me over the handle bars.

This wasnt just a nose dive like accidently pulling the key out. This was a hard out stop like hitting a brick wall and i cart wheeled over the handlebars.

    What the hell happened?

Rick, make sure your intake grate isn't hanging down or broken off

Ya, I would have thought probably either a broken intake grate if it's a RXP or a buck if it's on a RXPX. Maybe something clogged the intake enough to cause it to overstuff?

Glad your ok That stuff is scary when it happens all of the sudden without warning.

How fast were you going when it happened?

    Which intake grate?
    Which impeller?
    Stock ride plate?

I was using the 15.5/22.5 skat prop with the worx intake grate and stock ride plate.

I must have been going maybe 30 MPH. I was just taking off and the thing did a full on nose dive.

I have had this setup to 80 MPH but i have never gone more than half throttle when taking off from a idle. But this time i gave it full throttle on take off and went flying.
