Double In-line Trailer (looking for ideas)

    Hi Gang,

I need to get a double trailer made that has the ski's one behind the other.

The reason for this that the double side-by-side trailer bearly fits down the driveway. It has about an inch of clearance either side past the retaining walls posts. I have already jack-hammered out one concrete wall to get it down but just not enough room to move.

I've have had a search around GH but no luck. If anyone has some links or pics I would be very grateful.

It's how the secound jetski is tied into place I can't picture in my head .

    Thanks,
    Dean

they make double side by sides that lean both ski's so they overlap making the trailer ALOT thinner.
i think someone posted pics of one in the trailer section before..

the second winch would be hinged with a quick release pin to allow it to drop down below the bunks ( kinda like a swing away trailer tongue

    Mr. Z,
I got it! I'll take that to the trailer builder and see what he can do.
    Thanks,

    Airbourne,
I did see your posts before but I didn't regonize the pull up winch post, excellent idea!!
    Thanks,

I went to see the trailer builders today and they seem to have a few good ideas about lowering the height/center of gravity etc. but they want to "tie the two ski's together" when winching in or out. But I think an intermediate winch post will have to be in the design.

Do any other designs for in-line trailers have the ski's tied/connected together or must it have a second winch post?

you definatly want the second winch!!!!

the flip away setup is used on many 4 place trailers.
PM kirk350, he has a nice 4 place trailer with the flip away winches, he should be able to send you pics..
hopefully the huricane didn't cause him to lose his electricity or internet.
