    Side Lift Wedges

I have seen these mounted on both inner and outer lips of footwells.
    Which works best on HOs??

What do you think of the 3M hold?

I want something permanent that could handle a high stress load day in day out.

    Weldwood, GorrilaGlue, or ???

    Thanks

exactly........the 3M glue used by hydroturf has an excellent shear strength....no need to add glue....i lightly sanded mine, but, in retrospect, prolly would of not done it again if i had the choice.

Dont forget to use a clear silicone to seal the outsides of the wedges....keeps water/sand out which will help prevent the wedges from peeling off once installed......

nah.....any type of clear silicon should suffice unless its some cheap Chinese stuff.......try to get the good stuff as this is a marine application and it will be subjected to alot of vibration/shearing/salt/sunlight/etc. Post a pic once u have em installed...

I got em in yesterday. It was raining out and I only had white 5200 silicone but I had a long day and needed to spend some time with her so I went at it.
    Came out OK.
The HO leaves even less room than SHO. The outer lip next to center mat splits is much shorter than at that same point on the SHO. I had to angle wedge down and it doesnt leave much room for boot.
I applied the white 5200 like caulk. Bead around and then wiped into groove. Theres some excess but Im hoping that will be easy to rub out.
I got some slight silicone stains on the black wedges and mats but all in all doesnt look to bad.

I must have been tanked while putting these on.

Anyway to get white silicone stains off of the black wedges and white ski?

I went out in hurrican water and they do help. Will be putting them on every ski from now on.
    Clear silicone next time.
