Did you undo the clamp that holds the IC into the Intake manifold??

OK twist and pull on that SOB...it has a rubber gasket about 1 inch long..She will come out..you might want to connect the manifold back to the motor to give you some leverage

You can get them out without removing the intake manifold..

I used a screw driver and gently pried it out. There are tight rubber gaskets your fighting to get that out..

Make sure when you remove it that the rubber ring on the rear of the i/c comes out with it. You dont want to leave that in the intake!

Yes i would tighten them tight..Your intake manifold is made of plastic, you dont want to take a chance on cracking it...

+1 on what Speedskixp said..there is 2 gaskets,1 in front(top) and 1 in the back(bottom) both are black and about 1 inch long..
