    vin number info

I am ready to import my GPR into Canada. I need to know which of the numbers in the vin number says where it was made.

If it was made in Japan, I get hit for 9.5 % duty, plus 7 % tax. If it was made in the USA , I only pay 7%.

I called the dealership here, they were a little lost with what I was asking. I think all the watercrafts are made in the US with the exception of the Superjets. Correct?

    Thanks...

Yes..they are formed and assembled in Newnan, Georgia. They get there engine parts from Japan, but they are made here.
