    Question about "fiberglass" Trailer

I'm looking around to buy a Polaris for one of my friends. I came across one that has a fiberglass trailer with it. Have not seen it yet, only been talking to the guy by phone. Anyone heard of fiberglass trailers? Are they worth anything, or are they better than traditional ones?

I have seen a couple of them locally, but I couldn't find any pictures on the net. If I remember correctly, they are made by Targa and are a low profile trailer. I know there is one sitting on the beach north of Grand Bend, ON.

I would pick one up for my XP if I saw one. They are an older trailer and wouldn't be able to handle the machines today.

Are you sure he's not talking about a towable trailer for behind the ski?

I have seen a 'formed' PWC trailer - the body of the trailer was molded similar in shape to the lower hull of a small boat, with wheel fenders included in the formed shape. Looked nice, and it was a low profile design.

I don't recall who made it, or how large a PWC it could handle.

It is infact a targa fiberglass trailer. How much are these worth in good condition? Are they worth more or less than a regular trailer?

Because these trailers seem to be rare, future potential buyers may not be willing to risk buying an unknown 'orphan' trailer, made with an unusual material (for a trailer).

Buy it if it meets your needs, rather than based on potential resale value.

The resale value is likely to not be strong, unless the trailer has a real 'wow' factor in person.

    Pictures?

Here is a pic of the trailer. My friend decided to go with the XP instead of a SL. The XP needed less work.
