    Fuel lines-what size and mfgr?

I'm getting ready to re-do all my fuel lines on the C/F boat project and want to know what everyone uses. What size fuel lines? Who is the manufacturer of the fuel lines? Do they make different color fuel lines?

Also is everyone running fuel clunks in their tanks or just straight pick-up tubes?

    Thanks for your input.
    Mike

Riva and R&D have them both. You need 1/4" Line For the fuel and 1/8'' Line For the Primer Line (if you have carbs).

If your doing the fuel lines, then go ahead and replace the plastic T's and Y's all at the same time. Do the oil lines too. Those are 1/8'' too.

I got mine from ebay. You can get them in difference colors so you can give your ski the 'Abbott' look.

    See the link below.

    FUEL LINES

What about the clunks? I know several people on this forum are using them...how 'bout the rest? I have a brand new triple pick-up and I'm contemplating adding the clunks before I install it in the tank. What's everyone's thoughts?

I would recommend doing this mod. That way you make sure your engine won't starve for fuel when its low on gas. To me it was well worth the $14 for the clunks. I'm in the process of doing the mod.

Pistonwash has a link on how to do the mod.

    I agree Jay.
Here is a picture of some "quality" line that was giving me fits some time ago.

It was cut 1/2" inside the pickup, and "grew" through the housing, and pinching off one line.

You might consider this while putting your lines in your tank. I'd be wary of the zip ties after they have been sitting in gas for a while.
