    BOV quick question

I just bought my first ski about a 1 1/2 months ago, 05 RXP Viper Red...

I have no current mods on it yet. How loud is the Riva BOV upgrade? Also is it worth it even though I have no other mods, but in the future I hope to keep modding it.

^are you happy with the exhaust...I plan on getting one for mine, later on.

Kinda sucks that the BOV isnt loud...does anyone know of another company that makes a louder version? I love the sound of F.I. engines blowing off.

try a real BOV as the one riva uses is a DV (diverter valve) , the DV are used on cars running a Mass Air Flow sensor so they vent the boost pressure back to the intake and not to the atmosphere. Try using a BOV with piston type (The one riva uses is a diaphram type)

The BOV is there to relieve the back pressure on the supercharger to keep the clutch from slipping. This will happen when going from WOT to idle the pressure built up will cause the clutch to slip, the BOV will relieve this pressure so the clutch does not slip therefore saving the clutch. You will probably never here it at all.

Thanks for the info, could you tell me any companies that would make one?

msxl, was that a stock or HD clutch. Were you using shims? Any idea of what your slip moment was if it was an HD clutch?

Sorry for all the questions, but I am trying to find a common denominator for these clutch failures.
