Question Modified 06 GP - Help

Hi, I have the following mods on my 06 GP and can only get it to around 71-72mph. I would have thought it should be running at over 75mph. Compression is 140/140/138 and EFI is set at 5 5 1 7. I am running 98 Octane (the highest in Aus).I have just ordered a new 14/22 prop and rideplate. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated......Thanks Ken

Hi izzO, why is our Octane too high? I thought it was comarable to the uS.....I haven't got exact RPM's yet. I know I need to get these and will try this weekend. But I was hoping you could see something we cannot.......

you dont need 98 fuel with only 140 head comp, it will hurt performance, try 95

i cant really help you without rpm readings, all those mods and no tach?

go get some rpm readings then post them because no one can help you until then.

get the following when you test next

    max rpm
    how much fuel
    water conditions
    max gps speed

once you collect that data we can start trouble shooting

    +1.......with izzo on tach

if your non ported the riva free flow will cost you a little top end...0.5-0.8mph
and if your tabs are uncut(as in off shelf) they will also cost you just under 1mph off top end as these are for rough water riding...
