    RXP Finger throttle suggestions

    Okay,

Took out the new (to me) RXP yesterday... 8100rpm, rides great, no complaints.... Why the hell didn't I do this years ago.. Got the OPAS blockoff's in the mail yesterday too..

The only other mod I want to do is a finger throttle.. I know GH has a riva kit, as does PPG...

Any suggestions, other options? I have always liked the UMI / KVPI type levers over others, is there such a kit available that I can still use a bar-pad closer on?

I bought the riva ext. kit & tossed the plastic shroud cover that came with it & used only the extensions from the kit & my KVPI trigger.
    Here's how it turned out.

yup, popped the thumb dealy & put the plugs back in with some right stuff on them to seal 'em up. Also, choose your projected hole carefully! attach the trigger where you like it & either eyeball the cable line from throttle to cover or use a wire or thick solder to run through the throttle opening & see where it lands on the cover. Drill a hole at least 1/2 again as big as the cable for small adjustment reasons & be sure to drill at the right angle too or you'll get bindage. Plus it looks cleaner.

not trying to steal the thread, but does anyone know if the X-model finger throttle can be modified to work on a rxp? If so how much modification are we looking at.

I can´t understand why all the PWC:s uses thumb or finger throttle. I´m thiniking about installing a roll throttle as used on motorcycles, why is this so unusual in jetskiing? I cant imagine riding at motocross bike with finger or thumb trhottle, so what´s the difference on a PWC?

    X throttle on GTX

Yes, you can put the X finger throttle on other models. I got the throttle and the braided cable and that is all you will need. I also put on the X start stop switch too. In answer to the original post regarding the Riva kit, I have seen somewhere on line a kit without the throttle portion (just has the bar extensions and the new trim piece) for under 100 bucks. Then you can use whatever throttle you want if you get the adapter for Seado cable end.
