Talking My X back together and running fast...how's 83.5!

Lets just start off by Thanking everyone who have helped me out with my boat over the summer. Want to thank Mark and Chris from Racetech and Art from Enginetech for producing and great super charger. I would like to thank Jerry for supplying me the Riva parts that I needed to get my boat off and running. To let everyone know it was Mark and Art who have spent alot of time and effort on this new etec 140 and the 137. These are the two men that made it happen. Anyways enough kissing ass Im just happy with my results today after finding out my rings were shot to shit 2 weeks ago.

Enough about that...let get to the good stuff.

    The weather was the following,

    Temp...70 F
    Wind...10 from out the west
    Lake Temp was a chilly 63 F
    Humidity was 61%
    Pressure was 102.18
Lake conditions were 2 to 3 inch chop

I made the mistake of putting the 81 ring on last night before I hit the lake. My RPM dropped off big time...I usually run 8720 to 8750 with the 82 ring but after i dropped in the 81 my rpms dropped to 8480 to 8540. I was shocked too. I would have thought maybe 80 to 100 rpms but not that much. I did manage to see 81.1mph on the GPS at 8520. So I quick took the boat out the water and put the 82 back in. After 3 passed on the lake my rpms were back up to 8740...right where i want them.

My first past i did 82.9mph on GPS the second i did 83.1 mph and the third was the charm it hit an all time best of 83.5mph on GPS.

These three passes were done in my bay not a river no current at all.

I have just a couple of more weekend to ride before it gets to cold but I want to try the boat out in some cold weather to see if I can improve my numbers.

Please no bashing...Im sitting here having a beer with a big smile on my face!

I am very pleased today with the results. I was seeing 15.1 to 15.4 on the dynotune boost gauge. I dont think anything is left in her...mabye I will find something more before the snow falls.

23 degrees C is 73.5 degrees F, it might have been 68 when I tested.
