    7 HOURS on 250X needs warranty work??? HELP

    The new 2008 kawasaki posted under OIL LEAK turns out to be going in for warranty work. I am concerned considering the dealer has been COMPLETELY unhelpful in dealing with this matter. I am wondering if anyone has had experience with Kawasaki and warranty work, what I should ask to be done and what kind of timelines to expect. Apparently it is a gasket but who knows. With seven hours.......they should just give me a new one. HELP

    I have a '07 12f, took a total dump on me. Kawasaki paid my dealer to fix the whole deal, even though it was out of warranty by 3 months. Had to rebuild the whole top end. So, if your dealer is any good, they will take care of you. Good luck. My ski only had 18.5 hrs. on it when it died. I know how you feel. I cant imagine they wont fix it. But they wont give you a new one, that Im pretty sure of.

    You need to atleast give them a chance to fix the problem. How has the dealer been unhelpful? You can always take it to another dealer if you dont like the one your dealing with now.

    Yeah, do give em a chance. If one in particular has not helped, by all means find another. May be something simple.

    most dealers hate warranty work cause it never pays good!!!

    it does not pay unless the have an up-to-date tech
    if not they only get 50%

    i should now, i used to run a shop, but got out
    now i own 1

    Isnt it based on business model ie high volume low margin vs low volume high margin?

    I know the Service Manager from my Dealers Shop only gets paid from Warranty work, thats what his whole paycheck is from...........and he LOVES me..............
