    Ziptie your gps on securely!

My $500 GPS went for a swim today, all the way to the bottom of the lake. Im so damn mad I could kick myself in the a$$. Expensive lesson learned.

Garmin GPSMap 7x series. Bulky and ugly, but they are water proof to 3 ft and float

Yes I had the factory holder for it. I hit a huge wave, jumped in the air, and ended up landing on the handlebars. Rode for about 100yds then realized it had been knocked off. Turned around to look for it and never saw it. I was gonna secure it to the handlebar with a ziptie or something so if it did fall off it would just hang but never got around to it. Oh well.
