Extended pump coupler, part 2
Last summer I swapped my short pump for an extended pump, and in a pinch, I made up a coupler to connect the 10.32 threaded rod to the longer pump:
Well, that sucker broke yesterday! Oops, making it out of 1/4" aluminum seemed strong enough at the time.... It didn't strip out, like I initially feared when I made it, it just snapped in the section between the 2 rods.
Granted, it was a pretty rough day, jumping wind-driven waves. New coupler is now made out of 3/8" rod, looks MUCH stronger....

Towed in by the SLX, an all-too common occurence.... At least lately my problems have moved from "catastrophic engine failure" to less expensive ones!
I wondered what was going on, I was on the beach, and all 3 skis were sitting still for a very long time. I suspect they were trying to decide who had to go in and tell Dad!
