2Rude against the ET 68-140 RESULTS!
Ok, guys I had one hell of a Fun day today. I must say this was just a blast. BUT ya'll want INFO So just to get the facts straight I had some guys watching me and helping me test. Ray (Sundance), Jeremy (SR2), and Mike (RXTman). They were there to witness and help.
My Set up is with a Riva ECU 50lb injecters. And of coarse some other stuff that will be exactly the same for EVERY test. I added a RRFPR and Set it per info from IMO the BEST builder in this sport. He gave me his settings for the FPR.
1st- B-kit 105in. lbs of slip.
2nd- 2 Rude Charger With a Slip of 110in. lbs after a quick Shim install and a PM to Jerry (GH) to make sure this was Perfect and GOOD!
3rd- ET 68-140 Slip was 145in. lbs
Ok here it Goes.
Conditions for the day were 89-90 degrees, 64 dew point, 30.12 Bari pressure, and a 560 elevation.
1st and ONLY Run with my B-kit for a comparison
8450 RPM's 13.2 boost ---81.1mph ---82mm Ring
NOTE we changed to a 81mm Ring as we thought ahead for RPM gains to the NEW SCers. So the Next test are 81mmRINGS.
1st Run with 2Rude 8400rpm's---13.9 boost---80.9mph---81mm Ring
1st Run with the ET 68-140--8450rpm's ---14.5 boost---81.9mph--- 81mm Ring
After realizing they did not add the 200+ RPMS we thought they were supposed to do we went ahead and Changed back to a 82mm RING to bring the RPM's up to Everyones desired 8500RPM's as we didn't want to here any B.S. from this, so we change to the 82mm ring trying to bring RPM's up for the target 8500rpm's .
2nd Run 2Rude---8450rpms---14.2boost---82.2mph 82mm Ring
2nd Run Et 68-140 ---8500 rpm's---14.5 boost 82.5mph---82mm Ring
Ok, for each test I ran up and down the River trying to achieve the very best I could I ran each SCer about 5 hard Pulls to get the best numbers. I came back to the dock with max speed and boost for each test showed it all the guys. So every test was Run through the ringer to achieve and verify.
Some thoughts and my conclusion.
B-kit Just a dam good performer, I was really impressed that it wasn't all that far behind.
The 2Rude pulls harder than my B-kit sounds better and just feels extremly smooth. This SCer felt great and provided better power than my B-kit. I was so happy when I pulled away from the dock and hit it as I new it had more power than the B-Kit and older Rude.
Now The ET 68-140 I started it up and everyone Just had a grin on there face as this thing Sounded so much meaner and whistled so much more that we all looked at each other and just were shocked. I pulled away from the Dock and this thing was just amazing. It wasn't leaps and bounds over the 2 Rude, but it did have an advantage over it.
the ET 68-140 was better than the 2Rude about a half a pound of boost, 50rpms and about a half mile per hour gain on top. Pretty much all day on the water.
All in all IMO they are extremly close, but if I had to say a winner. In my Book it was the ET68-140.
I must add that I didn't see B.S. 15.5lbs of boost to 16lbs from niether one Period.
OK now before you guy beat me to death, I will tell you That I spent all day on the water doing this for the forum and fun. I bought the ET 68-140 From my own money. Jerry was nice enough to send me a 2Rude to test and this just says alot about him. Great GUY!
If you have and input or questions Just ask. I will tell it as it is. My integrity means everything to me! I am sure the guys that were with me will have input, so there it IS!
Take care and be safe on the water.
