    code 54

Any one know what code 54 is on a gp1300r 05 mod.
Just added vf3 to the ski and it comes up with this code and warning intermittantly.
Have read the 04 manual and says it is the "stepped motor" fail. Is it the same code for the 05?

    Ski mods:
    F/Flow
    RD Filter
    Cat
    Dyna fly
    87 Noz
    VF3
    Riva EFI

    54 is stepping motor malfunction.
I think it's too much of a coincidence that it started when you did the reed install.
My bet is that you have a loose or dirty conection somewhere.Unplug, clean and re check all conections first before worrying too much.

54 has come up before when installing reeds. It might be a good place to look. And I think code 54 will still allow you to ride and not shut off fuel supply ---but none the less, there is something that needs to be fixed.

Those warning codes can drive you crazy, but sometimes they see things that we missed and its good that they are there. Although its not to the point where it catches everything--but its a start for the PWC world.

    code 54

Found the problem, I did not push the connector plug in properly on the stepper connection socket. Once I worked out how to fit my hand through a gap too small for it I managed to fix it.
    Thanks again for the help.
