    New RXT 2008 Depth gauge

    Can anyone tell me. How can I tell if my RXT is equipped with a depth gauge/ scanner. When I put the key in the display lights up, but once I start it the display goes away. What should it cost to have one installed?
    Someone told me only the RXT-X comes equipped. (HELP)

    Try this one;

    I have one on my 08 T-X and love it. Ordered from Babbits online, but since I ordered the price has gone up. You might just do a google search for see whats out there for pricing.

    Its not that difficult to install. The wiring isn't for the timid. And, you have to take it to the dealer to have the BUDS unit enable it.

    Thanks for the replys. I did some home work yesterday and found it on line at CheapCycle Parts.com for $277.19. So I called two diffrent dealers. The 1st one gave me oh thats a special order we can match it but you will have to pay the shipping and tax . $300. So I call dealer No#2 yes we have in stock and you can pick it up for the match price of $277.19.
    However doth dealerships qouted me the MSRP of $329.19 for those looking the part NO# 295501050 may come in handy if you are looking for one. It will fit all GXT & RXT models with 4-except 2002 models. I will post some pics when I get-er-done.

    That is weird. I happen to be riding mine one day when the water was low, less than 3 feet, and I stopped the ski, and was idling, and before I shut it off it was reading like 13 feet, but it was only 2 feet. So, when the water gets really shallow, don't trust it, get off the ski and push.

    Also, above about 60mph mine goes haywire. I think that's the max speed for this thing.

    It might not have a good automatic gain control (AGC) circuit. If it doesn't reduce power in shallow water, the pulse will bounce off the bottom, bounce off the hull, bounce off the bottom again and be read by the unit... Ron
