    Timing questions for 250x

How much more advance is the 6 degree than"stock"? With it what octane SHOULD you now run? Ths would be in 100+ degree temps. Inquiring minds want to know-ANYBODY?

Thanks for reply. So doe's the 250 run "fixed"@ 0* or max @ 0* by ecu in "stock" cond? In any case you answered my octane ? , I'll have to "juice" our 91 here in LA LA land . Detonation can be a bitch !

Got my ultra back yesterday. Rebuilt top end. Pistons rings ect.. also did the timing advance and double bottom ic mod. took it out to break it in hard. I was only seeing high 7600 with 12 lbs of boost. seems like boost is ok but rpm was less than before the rebuild and timing advance. Will RPM increase as i break in new pistons? Also an engine stumble at 7400 rpm every time. Maybe plugs.

    timing 250x

Finally got my service manual. Book say's 0* @ idle and 8* @ 3000 rpm,so the ecu does change the advance. Remember to add the 8* when doing timing mod.
