    951 Xpl 98

    Whats the easiest way to change the oil on this thing.What parts need to come off and how to drain it?I am stumped!

    Other than the CB shaft, there is no oil in the engine except what is carried in the fuel mixture. The CB shaft oil should not need to be changed any more often than the engine needs rebuilding.

    your pump oil needs to be changed every year. pull the nozzles, unbolt the pump, unbolt the cone, drain oil.

    Any synthetic gear oil should be ok, one person suggested lower unit oil because it has a dye to show water intrusion.

    any synthetic 75w90 gear oil will do.
