    Anti Freeze Question

It has been 2 years and 100 hours since I got my 2006 RXP. I now need to change the anti freeze. I know how to do it I just do not know what kind of anti freeze to use?

The local marina sells the BRP 1 Liter bottles for $10 each and I hear it takes 5 bottles. Do I really need to spend $50 on anti freeze?

Can I use regular anti freeze and just mix it with distilled water? Please help as I donít have $50 to throw away on anti freeze.

Prestone is what the gurus on here recommend and it is what I am using after putting on the modded ride plate.

Yes. You want to mix it with distilled water. Don't use tap water. You can buy pre mixed coolant and water if you want. Most auto parts stores sell it both ways now. I recommend just getting the coolant unmixed and buy distilled water and mix yourself. Depending on your climate you can change the mix a little to help with cooling. I mix about 70% distilled water and 30% coolant and use Red Line water wetter to help with corrosion and lubrication, But I am also in South Florida and ride in high heat and high water temps all year. If you are going to have the coolant out anyway you way want to switch to the 160 degree thermostat to help with heat fade.

YEs you would mix it as you would for an automobile, or buy the premix as the ski only holds a little over a gallon
