Pro 785 rpm's and what oil to use

After pulling my hair with 2 pro's got one that works ! 60 hours and a new create motor , had it out 3 times and top rpm is 8100 , is that over reving the motor ?
Was given a case of amsoil with the new motor, syn red , I think good oil to use ?

You got the AMSOIL Dominator Oil. That is very good oil. You have a good running 785 to turn 8100.

Pro 785 rpm's and what oil to use

Thanks for all the the info, I do not think are any mods to the boat , except redtop carbs, UMI steering , and some kind of add on metal trim system to the rear . maybe MFD rpm's are off ? The boat is ungodly fast !!

Any pics of the engine compartment? It may have a different cdi in it.

The Mfd could be off because i think the stock cdi rev limiter is around 7900 rpms on the 98-00 cdi's and lower on the 97's sounds like shes running good though make sure you do some plug chops so you don't melt a piston.

8100 rpms is great. My stock race boat ran at 7850-7900 and the limited is right at 8000.

I'm using both oils but the Dominator and it's red color help me to know I'm pre-mixed or if I have a leak somewhere.
Look at the dollar difference per gallon as well.
I use the Dom on about 95 percentof my boats, no problems due to oil failure.
I personally think it's VERY important to run with a good synthetic for longevity, good luck with whatever you chose.
