Make sure you pull the fittings out of the ride plate that go through from the top.If you do it the ride plate is easy just use a jack and jack it down.

Hey pineapple picker - use a propane torch and the epoxy will be much easier to remove. Did you buy the car?

I assume you mean "use a torch" on the RPlate holes, not the holes through the fiberglass Hull itself. (???)

That's why I don't think it's worth the extra 1/2 to 1 mph to fill in the rideplate holes w/ epoxy even though it can be removed; but everyone's different, and my ski is slow

wow that is messed, you would think someone would have come up with some sort of cap to pop them over the bolts?

Def a retarded mod IMO. If anything the plate should have some sort of cover that can slide over the bolts but that would call for an overhaul.

Thats a mod im keeping near the end if at all, looking at a new impeller and doing some regular maintenace. I did my top speed via GPS and got 108kph, 67.1 mph with a 2005 100% stock rxp (metal washer swap).

Im hunting some intakes and possibly a new intake grate, ive heard good and bad things about riva ones.

The plugging and removing the epoxy the rideplate holes is not difficult to do. If you follow the link in the how to section, it gives easy to follow instructions for plugging the plate bolt holes.

It is easier to remove the plugs on the rideplate bolt holes if you apply a small amount of heat with a hand held torch to the putty/epoxy.
