GPR Tunnel reinforcement Poll:
How many GPR owners had had the tunnel reinforcement mod done to their ski?
Please give a brief description if your ski is stock or modified, why you did this mod and what year.
This is a just a poll to compile data to see how many GH members who OWN GPR`s have or have not done this mod. We all know the reason why this mod. should be necc. Thank you for your input.
This poll is not for the purpose of convincing me.
Please leave the crap out of this thread...

2000 Gp1200r Modified Stage 2 Custom (I guess?)
Did this mod cause I was threatened have it installed against my own will come mudbug.. dumb for anyone NOT to do this, it is a needed thing even on a stock ski!
Just save yourself and your ski, and get this thing installed! Once it's in, you shouldn't need to mess with it any more!

2 Gpr's... 2004 and 2006, You've seen them both run...
Both with all the bolt on goodies and non ported 1300's
1 R&D reinforcement and one done with 8 layers of cloth and west system epoxy.
I did this mod as preventive and safety maintenance... A sinking ski is an unhappy ski...

2X 2005 GPR ported with all the goodies.
Reinforced the tunnel with CF cloth and West systems epoxy.
Reason for doing, Safety and staying afloat.

My thinking: a STOCK SKI, as in no plate, grate, ect, probably doesn't need it. a grate is going to change the pressure and angle of load on the tunnel, and the added speed of a plate will make it that much worse.
I will say that if I had to do mine again, I would go with either the r&d unit or Jorge's(305coco) Laying the glass and resin, although not difficult, is a pain in the ass because of the confined space.
