Who has a Prop Alignment tool?

Doesn't someone on here have one that is passed around? Rental fee or something like that for the prop alignment tool? I put the pump back on and it sounded much better than last time (like a box of rocks, see previous post for video and sound).

I rode it and jumped a few waves. Now when it idels I hear that sound again. There is no movement from front to back like last time, as I replaced the bumper plugs at both ends of the driveshaft. (see previous post for pictures of what was left of the bumper plug)

I guess I didn't have the pump bolts tight enough and that's why it is making that noise now??? Must have shifted a little from jumping the waves. I was heading out of the inlet into the ocean and they had to be 5 ft swells. launched off the first one and didn't quite make it over the second wave. The ski went through the 2nd wave, kinda like the surfers when they dive under. The force of the water just about pulled my shoulders out of socket. The water came just over the handle bars.
If I only had a more powerful ride like Xlint's ported 780, then I would have made it.

    That's funny...

BD is the man to ask about the alignment tool. Although it looks like Lugs is stepping up to the plate as well. Gotta love this helpful group.

Thanks lugs. I got a call today that I have a package waiting. Will pick it up tomorrow and get this thing aligned properly.

    To remove the impeller, yes.

You can make one from an old driveshaft if you have one.

This isn't the best way but in a pinch just stick the shaft in the impellar and use a pipe wrench on it grab it somewhere in the middle of the shaft .
tou have to remove the tail cone to hold back on the stub shaft .

Just don't wrench on the parts of the drive shaft that slide into the through-hull bearing.

Pipe wrench (ugh) only near the impeller end of the shaft , and only if you MUST do it that way.
