    at what rpm does a non pv 1300 engine make max power and what is the limiter set at. ijust fitted a dynafly and the rpm has droped from 7260 to 6900 and i gained 3 mph

    I don't know the answer to your question as I'm just learning my Yamaha's, but I know that from my Polaris and Doo experience that I'd never "lug" the motor down that many RPM's without other changes. You're talking 360rpm... that's a lot and could cause some major detonation issues I would think. The guys here can tell you exactly what to do and where the sweet spot is. I'm just throwing this out there as I would rather err to the side of caution for now.

    The EFI rev limiter is 7500. From what I understand, the ignition curve starts to drop off around 7200. Target Rpm seems to be around 7100-7150
