    Mass Flow Sensor??

Does the EFI have a mass flow sensor?

if so, can we put a resistor on it like on a car to give it more power?

you know that power you get on a cold morning and the Jeep feels like a monster
    just a thought

hello flyboy 1300, there is no mass air flow sensor on a 1300. it has a Atmospheric Pressure Sensor. The same as a map sensor on a vehicle.

The 03 does have a "intake air sensor" simular to the Mass air temp sensor. I have wanted to play with a varible resistor for that circuit to see if there are any gains.

hello wfo, the air intake sensor is not the same as a mass air flow sensor. two totally different sensors, Air intake sensor measure air temp. mass air flow does not. It measure volumn and pressure as the air goes thru. Thats why a mass air flow is in line with the air intake snorkel. Some vehicles they combine the mass air flow meter with the map sensor, But the air temp sensor is by itself.

Hey Jim...how can I say this as repsectfully as possible...

    NO SHIT SHERLOCK

What I am saying is, on an 03-only there is an air temp sensor seperate from the baro sensor. It is located on the outside of the air box assy.

    Just FYI

no need to get mad : We are all trying to help one another. I just read your last post were you said the two sensors are simular and i just replied that's all. Id be out on the water today but the weather is bad so instead i am on the computer

Its all good...no one is mad. I stated mass air temp-not mass air flow. As you have an automotive background, you are probably familure with this. I should have said just said intake air temp sensor.

getting back to the air temp. sensor you stated wfo, Its true if you can tie in a resistor in line to fool the computer if you put 5.0 - 7.0 ohm's resister it will think the air is cold and it will fatten up the fuel. And the same if you go the other way if you put a .30-.40 ohm's resister it will think it's hot and will lean the system. I was going to try it last summer but never got time to do it.

Exactly right. You are reading my mail. Dont have one on my 04, but thought it may help the 03s.

i was going to try it in place of the efi unit, But the problem with that is you can not adjust your circuits separately. You are basically adjusting across the board.
