    How does a mid/ 3rd jet Work?

Just wondering how a mid jet works on my carburetors? Is the end of this hose (w/ jet in it) supposed to be connected somewhere?

Also, the consensus here has been that these are probably SRE carbs. Does anyone know what they are worth? I am considering selling them to fund my standup project.

Note: I started a thread about what kind of carbs these were a couple of weeks ago, but figured this needed a different thread. MODS- feel free to combine the threads if you see this as a duplicate.

Those carbs are Boswells & not worth much, worse than Buckshots to tune.

The 3rd jet is a air jet & does not connect to anything.

Boswell's huh? I Think someone mentioned that in my other thread, but more people were leaning toward SRE. I guess the guy I bought the ski from was a pretty good tuner, b/c this ski had excellent throttle response at any speed. Maybe i'll try them out on my xp if I get bored.

How does an air jet benefit a carb?

BTW how much is not much? are they worth putting up on ebay?

two peeps for boswell, me and the seadoo GOD.

it doesn't benefit it - if it did, Tim would be using it.

dump them on ebay - start at 75 bucks and hope they go away. otherwise, i'll say it again - good luck with those!!

I'll take your advice and dump them. I am no expert on carb tuning, and can barely tune a stock carb. I don't want to get involved in anything this difficult to tune correctly. Thanks for the help.
