    more dumb ?'s by me

    ok so i have a 2000 GP1200R and i hear alot of bad things about oil hose's comming off the carb, and people telling me to switch to premixing to avoid a major problem my ? is can i cut or disconnect oil pump and premix or do i need to disconnect and cap off the lines comming out of the carbs?? or can i just run oil empty and start premixing?? do i have to put some kind of oil block off plate?? thanks guy's

    Pull the pump and put a block off plate on. Runing the pump dry would more than likely cause other issues down the road.

    ok pull oil pump. and install plate where?? and running the pump dry meaning out of the water will??

    Here is a link to the service manual it will help you get familiar with your motor. The oil pump is on the front housing. http://greenhulk.net/forums/showpost...03&postcount=1

    Imo going premix and pump tunnel reinforcment are the first things you should do...along with a GH SS 800 grate is you run a 800 for speed
