    vf3 help

I purchased a set of vforce3 reeds of i/r and am looking for advise on fitting.
I have the new reeds ready to put back in but was wondering, the gaskets that go either side of the spacer plate, do they need to have gasket seal on them before putting back together ??

Check with Carl at Island Racing, I ordered a set yesterday for my 1300, from my understanding, he has to make/modify the intake manifold.

I didn't realize that Carl @ IR was selling the DF3 setup. Is this the same as Fernando's? Hmmm, doesn't sound right.

I used grease when I applied my gaskets. apply it on both sides of the gasket.
They will remove easily if you have to take it apart the next time and they seal great.

I highly recommend to pressure test the motor when installing the gaskets for this I used little grease took apart used lots of grease had to take apart would have never known it was leaking if did'nt do a leak down test. grease did not seal my gasket. Had to use hmmmm forgot the damn name? its red very sticky will not be able to re-use gasket again but it did seal. So like I said grease has worked sometimes but not all the time do a leak down test when installing gaskets. The 2 top corners on both side of the manifold is were the leaks seem to generate out of. I will get the name of that stuff

I think you are talking about "Permatex gasket sealer" it's red and very sticky and comes in a red can spray with a white cap, i used a lot in the past on my 01 Gpr, very good product.
