Speed Question, Hoping there is not a problem?

I recently purchased an 05 Yamaha FX HO 160 HP (47 hours)

I thought that I had read that the speed at full throtle would be 62 mph.

I was only able to register a speed of 55 mph on the speedo in my first WOT day.

I did have a 3/4 full tank of gas and I weigh 245 lbs.

    Trim was set at neutral.

    Is there cause for concern?

    RPMs were steady at 9500-10000

Any thoughts on this could help put me at ease.

    Thanks

Sounds about right. I had a 2004 HO which did 58 stock and 61 with complete Riva rpm kit on a low tank of gas on glass. This was on GPS by the way. The speedo is not very accurate.

My 2005 FXHO w/ RPM KIT top speed is 61+ with all variables favorable. Could never hit 62
