    Smile Oil injection + premix

Hi. I have a 07 1300R and I use stock oil injection. May I put some oil in gas tank when refueling (about 0.4 liter)? Will it damage the engine?

    Thanks....Fernando

    oil injection and premix

fuel injected gpr's are known to run lean from idle to 5500 rpms.also the exhaust develops alot of heat with only oil injection.i wouls add no more than 1 ounce per gallon of pre mix.i have an 03. And it makes a big difference in the amount of heat on the exhaust. It is alot lower.i might change it to 1/2 ounce per gallon to see if there is a difference.i do not see how it could hurt it. It is a safety measure at the least.

Thanks for all answers. I don't want to go premix because of the job. So I'd like to put some oil in tank when refueling just in case oil injection fails....

So you still use oil injection and premix 1 ounce per gallon?

i have heard of lines popping off from guys here on the forum but i have never seen it myself, as far as the pump itself, they are virtually bullet proof. mikuni pumps are on virtually every two stroke toy out their and i've only seen two fail in twenty years, both on wheelers. it never hurts to add a little oil, it certainly wont hurt the motor but dont get carried away the injectors dont like anything thicker than fuel. i am adding to mine because i am running more fuel than stock.

400ml of oil in a full tank of gas wont help you at all if the pump fails..

my maths is not good but i think thats in the range of 135:1 if it goes south or line falls off.....

the only real way to be sure is buy a blank off kit and mix up yourself and YOU know the motor will be ok for oil...its the only way
