Thread: Bolts stuck.

    Bolts stuck.

    I put red loc-tite on my sponson bolts but need to get them off to put on other ones for testing I don't have a heat gun on me right now but is there any other way i could get the bolts out without heating them? Thanks.

    tap the tops with a hammer.. this sometimes works.

    Try some wd40 and alot of elbow grease. Apply more leverage it should come out with sufficent force.

    Heat!! got to get them hot to loosen the red loctite. Do not use it again, blue is a better choice if you must use loctite.

    Heat is the only way! You will be amazed! Invest in the heat gun. It takes some time but have some patience!~

    On the reinstall, marine grade grease is the easiest, when it comes to removal!

    Thanks guys! I guess i'll have to go get a heat gun tommorow and I have blue loc-tite just decided to use the red huge mistake...
