    Oil Lines

Gentleman, as one of my winter projects I would like to replace the oil lines on my 04 GPR.

I've been searching and reading posts for a little bit now and I've read that these mikumi pumps are just about bullet proof but the lines have been known to dry rot and fail.

Premixing of course would be the safest measure but with the ammount that I fill up on the water I'd prefer to keep the oil injection

What I'm asking of you guys is any suggestions on what to use for oil lines? something that's going to hold up.
Also would I use normal hose clamps or how about those oeikiter (sp) style clamps for security?

    Any ideas?

Definitely use the Oetiker clamps and a good quality Tygon line.

FYI I have never seen nor heard of the oil lines on a 13R failing... they all have a special coiled band type stainless clamp that secures the lines to the injection nipple.

I heard they are prone to dry-rotting? The ski has about 60hrs on it and I been getting quite worried

So if the pumps are good and the lines don't rot why do people suggest blocking off the oil injection on stock ski's

So you don't lean out a cyl. much safer to run a block off plate and mix the fuel. I will never run a motor with out a mix! Have my 00 with 349 hrs still strong and has been on pre mix since the 20th hr! Lee
