just got done preasure testing motor

The real seals were bad after taking a look at them. Got the motor all back together.

Q1: I have a Very Small leak at the O' ring on the powervalves, will this effect performance, if so what should I do?

Q2: one of my R&D billet PV's is dropping into the cylinder. I think that the Brass collar is the wrong one. Did yamaha make different size collars?

    Thanks TEAM!!

    James

    Hi James,

Q1: Replace o-ring, probably won't notice the difference either way, but why leave it that way right. probably will get worse as time goes on.
Q2: checked the service manual and from what i can see they are the same across the board. Their is know indication as they refer to all three with the same description. would like to check a parts manual to be positive, seeing the part# would be proof positive. but that wont beable to look at that for a couple of days.
    jeff

    Hope that helps.

i'm pretty sure that their are different PV sleves. I think I need a thicker one. I just don't know if some are thicker than others.

Thats not to bad. I like to see 10 pounbds for at least 10 minutes. Also never tested with the PV system, blocked it off. Thats on the pressure side of combustion and not vacuum.
