Look in the "how to" section on how to bend or "tweek" your impeller to acheive optimal RPMs. If you are high on the RPMs you can bring the RPMs down by bending the prop and vis-versa.

I think the limiter is 8100, so at 8240, you are hard on it. Others will chime in, but I think you need to bend the prop/impeller to get back down to 8100

I think you may be hard pressed to keep up rpms with the
14/19r impeller.. But then I am suprised that you
pull that many rpms with your current set up..
The limiter on the 07 215hp engines is 8200-8250.
You really want to be running in the sweet spot. Which
    is 8120 to 8160.

i was suprised also pulling that many rpms after all the upgrades i would still only get around 7800 to 7880 ---i would always get premium gas at a store on the way to the boat ramp after a year of buying gas there they did away with premium and mid grade gas so i started going to the texaco station closer to the house --after filling up there all of a sudden i was hitting 8200 rpms with 2 of us on the ski ---makes me wonder if the other station was selling reg. gas at a premium price

I think maybe your rpm gain might just be coincidence with
your gas change. I would check your wear ring to see
if maybe you have a little cavitation going on causing the
    rpm increase.

i was worried about that also i changed to a SS wear ring 4 weeks ago and no change in rpms until later when i changed gas stations --and i inspected the wear ring this past week-end and all looks good ---i hope to get the concord 14/19 impeller put in - in two week-ends i have been working out out of state and only get home on the week-ends --sometimes only a couple of week-ends a month it really screwed up my riding time

Does anyone know if this (limiter) holds true on a 2006 RXT?
I am running at 8180 with 80mm ring, 8200 with 81mm ring, and 8220 with 82mm ring. I am debating having the prop pitched or just run with the 80mm ring and leave it as is. If I have it pitched to drop 60-80 rpm would I gain more top speed?

Also just found this while searching past threads http://rivaforums.com/groupee/forums...4/m/3871080771 Almost looks like 8000 gives best bang for the buck.
