    Rave Valve fouling

I have a 02 GTX di recently I cleaned the rave valves since it was flashing maintanance. I can't get it to stop flashing, also I took one of the valves back apart and it has a good bit of carbon build up again. The first time I took them apart they were quite wet is this common or do I need to take it to someone who can read the computer. I always use seadoo oil.

you need to reset maint. message ,to clear the message press and hold the set button for 2 seconds while maint is blinking. this will reset it.hope this helps>Marvin

    rave valve fouling

I've tried resetting the readout but it won't. Sometimes it comes on right away other times it takes a while of riding. Thanks for the reply

Since it's a DI you may have something else going on that needs attending. I'd take it to a dealer so they can read the error code.

XPSII will still gum/carbon up the RAVES, you just need to pull them about every 50 hours and clean them. Just a FYI, Amsoil Interceptor oil doesn't gum them as bad. And, wet is normal too.
