New SS wear ring
The prop is stuck in it. It spun free when installed. Guess once everything warmed up, it swole up? Do I have to grind the edges of the prop? Run delrin again. I`m running all 3 solid motor mounts.

Kind of same problem for me today. No SS wear ring. Prop spun good by hand. Installed pump and test fire engine before dropping in the lake. Smell something burning. My wear ring was melting. Shut down and let it cool off and refired engine and all kinds of white wear ring crap was blowing out. I am glad it wasn't a SS ring, it could have toasted the prop and ring.

Jaffabas, I thought I was alright since I could turn it by hand. Just a little drag. I figured it would cut the little bit it needed to, not start melting. I will try it your way next time.
Eric, It was my old OEM wear ring, it didn't need to be replaced. It is on my RXPX. Now maybe I need to replace it.
I am taking the prop back out tomorrow to repitch it.
I just thought Hoss brought up a good point about the prop getting stuck. You need to be careful you don't waste a prop and/or SS or OEM wear ring.
Hoss, I think you will need to file the edges of the prop. I had to do this on my Kawasaki when I changed prop on it.

Little cutting oil wouldn't hurt.

Its frozen on the vice! Wont budge. I was just trying to spin the motror over and the starter wouldn`t turn it. I own an alignment tool and aligned motor. I now have the pump back in the freezer. May go back with a delrin ring. Beets buying props.

HOSS, did you ever pitch this impeller?
If so you could have thrown the OD out of whack causing it to bind.

No, out of the box 15/20. Should I stab the 3 blade back in?
