Hey Mike welcome to the Hulk.

Yes a 780 stator will fit the 750.

What is the problem with yours? did you test it??

Yea its fried, what im guessing happend is the rubber isulators that go over the battery termanals wernt on, so the electronics box arced off the battery and it fried a (what im guessing to be a ground wire because it was solid black) wire from the box all the way up into the stator. My guess could be wrong, so if you know what could have happend dont be afraid to speek up, I just based my guess on what I saw which was no rubber insulators and what looked to be arc marks on the bottem of the box.
    Thanks,
    Mike

Mike that can happen,. There should be a cover (Plastic) over the battery. Have you Ohmed the stator? Maybe you can replace the Black ground wire and call it a day. The manual is free to download in the tech section. The stator values are on the wire diagram.

    I agree ^^^^^

I've seen them repaired before and will cost you nothing but time.

Yea my original plan was to just replace the ground wire but the further in i looked, the worse it got. It turned out that the wire got so hot it melted a bunch of other wires on the way down and it went right up into the stator, so i figured it was easier to just buy another.
    Thanks,
    Mike
