Milled head adds about 40rpm on top

I got to spend a little time testing yesterday. I checked the area where I was gona be riding at a reduced speed. Safty first, no ducks were harmed this time out. (i think it was actually a loon & not a duck)
08GP1300R motor has stock airbox removed & blue stacks on throttle bodies, Riva EFI, indexed iridium plugs, cut trim for more air.
The bottom end punch seamed better.
Peak RPM cold with seat unlatched and set back 7330. Hot motor and seat latched 7280
Peak speed was up a little from 66.2 to 66.4mph
It's time to add some pitch to the prop & fill in the rideplate holes.

There are a few things you could do to get more air to the motor and keep it cooler which would add enough rpms to turn a dynafly.

    Running out of time.

The riding season ends the last day of October, as does my insurance. I just don't have time to install a bunch of new parts. I do have a set of VF3s & FF exhaust waiting to be installed. I also have to save some money for other projects, the Syclone & the 2500hd have out powered there torque converters & transmissions.

The my suggestion is to not worry about it and ride.

Wise people have once said "worry less, ride more"

It can be the GPS too... I have one friend I ride with and run consistant 76.7's to 77.4's on his gps while mine showes in the 75's...

I like the sound of the 77's better but believe the 75's...
