    impeller??

I have a stage 2 2001 GPR1200r with 80hrs... I noticed something the other day, when i looked at my prop in the boat i can see light around the prop. I am wondering if the wear ring is wore out? I can see some scuffing around where the prop spins, how I can tell if is worn?

the MAXIMUM clearance is .6mm or .002 in. for the 2001 1200GPR. this is stock factory original specs. and you can see daylight between the impeller and housing, the question is how much. better get out the feeler gauge. i see alot of worn rings from guys who beach but don't shake out the pump before firing up the motor, ouch!

heres a copy and paste from the manual for the 2001 GPR. the newer style pumps such as my 2007 is .9mm or .035in. (sorry about the bold writing, must be the copy and paste)
