    ultra 150 aftermaket air filter

    has anyone got aftermaket airfilter on their ultra 150 with stock carbs did u get any more power out of it i was thinking bout buying a r & d one but group k said they lean out with aftermarket airfilters with stock cv carbs is this tru is thier any down side to them

    I thought that too but my mechanic just rejeted the carbs for the proks that i have on.

    Be careful a/m fa's will cause stock carbs to lean out unless they have been modified. If you were going to do something to it then do heads along with the cv carb mod and stinger mod from skiworx. They can do proks or mod your stock f/a.

    wat needs to be moded on the carbs im going to leave everything esle stock cause ive got a set of factory tripple pipes for it but im trying to sell them if i dont sell them i will put them on my ski

    I dont know all the details. I do know the slides get washers added so they open quicker. Doing tripples I would look for some a/m carbs.

    factroy pipe said only run stock carbs an leave everything stock bar the factroy cdi with pump fuel

    Factory Pipe did indeed state that their pipes were developed with the Stock CV carbs in mind BUT you will not see the big increases possible without running the bigger carburtors. One of the watercraft magazines did a buildup using the Factory pipe triples and did it just as factory pipe stated and the Ultra ran 69 mph. Level 1 ultras run that or close without the pipes. It was only after adding 48mm Novis did the boat run 72.

    It will run with the factory carbs but the accelleration will be seriously restricted. Its been tried before.

    Yes it does it gave it more holeshot and slightly better topspeed.
