How can I tell if cooling lines are clogged, on pro1200?

Thank god for the great weather we are having here in southern wisconsin. Today I had both of my Polaris Pro1200s out and at first both ran great but A hour into it 1 of them seemed to go into A "limp" mode?? If you would go past 1/2 throttle it would bogg out , then I let it sit and worked fine for 10 minutes and it happened again, the mfd started to flicker, once i got it back on it said: "oil" and "hot" I know there is oil (it is full and you can see it smoke) as for hot I pulled the seat and was able to touch each of the 3 cylinders without getting burned(I could leave my hand on motor and pipes without haveing to remove it due to heat). Could the mfd make my craft go into limp mode? does this pwc even have a limp mode?? Could I have A clogged h2o cooling line, or cooling rail?? Is there A thermostate in this craft?? and lastly is the A sensor that could be telling the computer that the engin is too hot and limmit the rpms??
I know this is long but i wanted to be compoleat.
    Thanks, Andy

Also the engin runs great and has power until 1/2 throttle it also sounds good, and lastly the battery is fine is starts perfect and had enough volts.

    Thanks ~~RiZ~~

    Andy,
there is a limp mode for low oil , low fuel and temp . If it goes into Limp Mode it will only rev out to around 4200 rpms .I'm sure somewhere in the tech section there is a thread on how to check out the resistence's on the temp sensor and oil sender .
