Adding oil injection to Aftermarket Carbs- Novi,Blackjacks
Adding oil injection to aftermarket carbs is possible
with just a few extra parts. I have been running oem
oil pumps for the past 15 years because I hate to premix.
I have only had one failure in a high hour Wave Raider.
Most people go premix when the add big carbs, but with
a few extra parts on can continue to use oil injection.
Parts needed for your GPR
Three 1/8 straight nipple fittings for oil lines.
A extra throttle wheel
A extra throttle bracket or just make one from your stock carbs
for the oil injection cable.
One oem choke cable to be used in place of your throttle cable.
Use oem choke cable for your throttle cable and run it to your
middle carb. Also bolt your throttle bracket to the same carb.
Add another throttle wheel to your first carb and run your oil injection
cable and your homemade bracket to work that.
Run your throttle linkage on the back side of your carbs to avoid hitting
Notice where the oil fittings were drilled and place. Adding the oil injection
behind the throttle shafts doesn't allow any oil to blow back out of the
mouth of the carbs. More oil and no messy stuff in your hull.
Using these oil injection fittings will keep the oil lines on forever
once you shove them on, they fit that tight.
