    Whats up Gig?

The eel grass can be anoying sometimes on the bay.

    Mostly mid to late summer.

Where were you riding on the bay?

In my experience as long as you avoid the floating masses of grass that are sometimes around, you shouldn't have a problem.

It all depends what's going on with the wind & tides.

I just got off the bay out of Lindenhurst, It was a perfect afternoon, light breeze, very flat & the sun was shining.

I had on a shorty wetsuit, next time out I will probably wear a 4/3 full suit.

Don't let that seaweed keep you from going back, now that you know what it sounds & feels like when you get it stuck in the intake, just put it in reverse and goose it a little bit, you should be fine..

The bay has some great destinations, racetrack-like trails & ofcourse entrances to the Atlantic.

I am always out there if you want to meet up.

    Chris

Typically the only time you need to worry about the sandbars is at low tide.

If you catch the tide right, you can just race around all over.

Also at low tide some of the trails get mighty shallow.

    Doug!
whats up? I owe you all kinds of apoligies.. I know we had planned on hooking up this past summer... everything went pearshaped.. no money then my vacation then my ski needed work.. i could go on..
I'm doing well here.. I have only been going out the past month or so.. my buddy just bought a 250 so him and i have been going out of hecksher park. You can see what i sucked up. we ran aground twice I had to push 2 250's out of the sand... last weekend was a mess.. I hope to go out this weekend but i'm not going to know till tomorow.. I have never seen such clumps of greenery in my life! this stuff was so thick it was thicker than my last GF! we went out under the bridge (south of the twin span) i think this stuff was thicker than EEL gras.. unless is was a lot of it at one time.
