One long beep and "Sensor" displayed on screen

So I took my ski out for the first time in almost 2 months. I was riding around for about 15-20 and then I heard this long beep and the gauge cluster was displaying "Sensor" where the compass is normally. The ski was working fine and still worked fine after doing that. It did it a couple times more in the hour and a half I was out. Everytime it did that I pulled the key out and reinserted it to hopefully reset it. It wasn't low on full as the first two times there was 1/2 a tank. Anyone know what this could be?

It sounds like the compass sensor under the hood is failing. Download a manual from the following link:

and test or replace the sensor... Ron

The compass still works when its not displaying the Sensor message. The owners manual just says that when the information center displays that it means that a sensor is malfunctioning. Doesn't say which one. I guys I'll just have to drop it by the dealer.
