    TESTING THE GROUP K THIS WEEKEND

    Well I shall keep you guys informed about the testing this weekend, just put the new prop in tonight got to do a quick run Boat still a liitle fat on bottom, just wanted to put the boat in and see what happens with the prop since I re-pitched the dyna fly well gotta tell you ripped a 79.1 no problem short distance had to get off the throttle back to the ol BUCK, still stock ride plate. Now I put my riva plate on did some adjustments to help with the famous BUCK and I will go at it again maybe tomorrow I am heading to Don's house this weekend to get both boats running well my Group k his triple. Oh yes it was warm today up near 80's water was great nice and calm today I think I can still re-pitch,Man it spun this 15-25 at over 7330 and this boat was ready to go should be over 80 this weekend

    Heh that is the rideplate I use!

    I shim the plate so the front sides of the plate are flush with the hull. At the rear you will need to grind on the bottom of the pump and pump nozzle to provide clearance for the plate.

    Then to control the ride (to remove the porpoising) I shim down the trim tabs with the same number of washers under all 8 bolts. I never have really flat water so my tabs are always shimmed. So depending on you water coditions use shims accordingly.

    more shims = more stable ride.

    But don't get carried away because more shims also slows you done. If needed use longer bolts.
